Welcome to Heart Place

It’s ok to not be ok. The important thing is to understand that you’re not alone.

Taking care of yourself is an essential part of taking care of others.

My ultimate passion is to care for the Carer, as these wonderful individuals are the people who deal with our most vulnerable citizens–our children, the sick, and the elderly. I believe that with holistic support our carers will be better equipped to handle the demands of their vital roles.

And how much better would that be for both the Carer and the Recipient of their care?

Over the years I’ve noticed similar unhelpful patterns forming in Carers’ lives. Here’s some Signs that Carers are needing support:

  1. Do you have feelings of inequity toward the therapeutic or caregiver relationship?
  2. Do you feel that you have reduced ability to feel empathy and compassion for others and yourself?
  3. Are you seeking permission to put yourself first?
  4. Do you struggle to find just a moment for yourself?
  5. Are you feeling overwhelmed and craving just some simple clarity?
  6. Are you experiencing health issues related to stress and overload?
  7. Do you want to live the life you imagined without blockages holding you back?
  8. Do you want to release the old habits that no longer serve you?
  9. Do you want to create a more meaningful legacy with steadiness/confidence and ease?
  10. Do you feel as though you have untapped potential?
  11. Do want to dive deeper and live your fullest, truest life?
  12. Do you want to feel lighter, healthier, more amazing?

If you said YES to any of these questions, I’d love to help you to find your equanimity. Come and join me where you will be supported to thrive!

Meet Jacqui

Jacqui O’Connor

Kia Ora, I’m Jacqui O’Connor. I’ve been a Registered Nurse for 25 years, working with women and families and in psychosocial nurse management, before I experienced my own compassionate fatigue/moral injury. I went from living unconsciously in a fast-paced stoic world to stepping into my full potential and leading with authenticity and heart. Through my own lived experience, I’ve discovered the benefits of working with healing and mindset modalities and find joy in sharing the tools I’ve mastered with others.

Jacqui is driven and passionate about caring for the carer and making a positive impact through the workshops and healing she provides. Her own experience, intuition and empathy make for a beautiful combo. If you need a top up in your energy and need to reconnect with the essence of you, I’d highly recommend a session with Jacqui at Heart Place. Not only is Jacqui and amazing support and cheerleader, but a fantastic healer too. Thanks Jacqui.

Amy – Auckland

In this crazy busy stressful life, I lead, Jacqui has given me the tools for better balance and importantly inner peace. Her approach is realistic and easy to put into everyday practice. I’m also a health professional and raising a disabled child. Jacqui’s philosophy of ‘caring for the carers’ is wonderful! For the first time, I’m learning and giving myself permission and tools from her to learn to look after myself…from the inside out. Thank you for being you, Jacqui!

Rebekah – Auckland

Jacqui and Lyn-Marie are a powerful team. From the moment, they arrived at our school, they made the girls and I feel completely at ease, and infused every minute of our time together with love, a sense of fun and playfulness. Both women offer great tools, wisdom and talents that are completely different, but extraordinarily complimentary, to one another’s skillset, and I was blown away by the magic and the professionalism they showed – not an easy mix to create! The girls’ comments afterward confirmed that this was one of the best days they have had at school yet, and it is beautiful to see them integrate what they learned from Jacqui and Lyn-Marie into their everyday life. These two beautiful women cannot come with a higher recommendation from me and the girls they worked with at Kristin.
